I love this and we do the same things also! There is nothing quite as peaceful as sitting on the porch swing together before the kids wake up (Because goodness knows we can't stay up past the teenager!)

I get up every morning and have coffee with Mike before he leaves for work. We don't even talk, just sit there, on the couch with his arm around me and my head on his shoulder.

I love this post! I felt the same way about dating when my son was born-like we needed to get away and go somewhere to actually have a date. Like you, I have started to realize that it's the small things during the day that make a date, well a "date" for us. Great post!

Oh, my goodness. We do the same things at our place (minus the cows.) There is something wonderful about winding down the day together or starting it quietly as the sun comes up. We have three, all under age 8. We're so blessed to live close to my husband's parents -- the most doting babysitters ever. That means we even get -gasp- a *real* date every now and then, too.

It helps us remember why we fell in love, and that's a good thing.
